We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Smokin Gun, or "Gunner" as we call him, has come home to Kaapio Acres. We can not fully express, our gratitude to the Rudolph family at Capra Koza farm for allowing us to bring Gunner back home. Along with the Birr family at Fairland Farm we will share co-ownership of Gunner. We are all looking forward to some awesome kids hitting the ground for both farms in the near future!

Gunner is a buck who excels in General Appearance. He has a level top line, is very smoothly blended and stands on the best set of legs, pasterns and feet that we have seen in the Nigerian breed. Many of the judges have agreed with us and have made comments on how nice they are! Gunner has nice length , excellent width and depth of body making him a very balanced individual. His Dairy Character is hard to beat and has been passed on to all of his kids. He is favored among the bucks in the pen, being a gift from a good friend of ours before she passed away, Sandra Mason of Brush Creek farms, to whom we dedicate all of Gunner's accomplishments.

Gunner has consistently produced very nice offspring including his daughter, the 2011 AGS National Champion Sr. Doe, CH/MCH/PGCH Kaapio Acres Black Pearl, his son, CH/MCH/PGCH Kaapio Acres SG Silver Moon and another son MCH Kaapio Acre's SG Remington. We are seeing more of his kids place very well in the show ring and gaining wins toward their permanent titles including his daughters Kaapio Acre's SG Thyme and Kaapio Acre's SG Magenta. You can view his daughters on our reference page.

Habanero is one of our favorite  bucks. He has the length and levelness that his dam Parsley is known for. He also has the width and depth of body to balance him nicely. Dairy character isn't a problem for this boy either, being very open and flat boned. We were blown away by his first appearance in the show ring. His very first show weekend he went Grand Sr. buck two times and Reserve Grand Sr. Buck once. He has some spectacular udder genetics in his pedigree so we are anxiously waiting for his daughters to mature.

His Dairy character is incredible, being very open, angular and flat boned with the incurving of the thighs and thin pliable skin that is so common in these particular lines. Sonny is another Gunner son who has some awesome udder genetics in his pedigree. For a buck who has not seen the show ring much in the past, he did very well at the 2011 AGS National Show placing 2nd in his class! Many thanks to Elizabeth Englesman  and her family at Critter Croft Farm for letting us bring Sonny back home for a visit!!

This fall's breeding season is proving to be very exciting for us! Thanks to good friends of ours, we have been able to go back into some of the lines that we have really had success with. Adonis is no exception to the rule. He has awesome General Appearance, being long, level and wide with excellent leg set and nice feet! He is tight and sharp in the front end assembly as well. He has excellent Dairy Character being flat boned, long necked with thin pliable skin and ribs that are flat open and angular. We can not wait to see his kids hit the ground in the spring! Thanks so much Elizabeth of Critter Croft Acres for letting us grab more of our favorite genetics! =) We are hoping to get better pictures of him clipped during next year's show season. Sorry about the hairy picture as it just does not do him justice.
